Our Mission
To educate and involve health professionals, students, and the public in resolving health disparities affecting the LGBTQIA community to better serve patients expressing a wider scope of diversity in gender and sexuality
Future Goals and Plans
Speaker Events on LGBTQ+ Healthcare
Every semester, PHA will invite special guest speakers who advocate or educate on LGBTQ+ health, to speak to PHA about how to support the population
Educational General Meetings
Two general meetings every semester to update our members on our future events and activities. Our meetings will also educate on various LGBTQ+ health topics, such as HIV, Transgender Health guidelines, and much more.
HIV Screening Health Fairs
In the future, we plan to start a mini HIV Health Fair in collaboration with the San Joaquin Pride Center. Currently finding ways to get our pharmacy student members certified for HIV testing
Newsletters
Sending out newsletters to update PHA members on any LGBTQ+ news, policies, and healthcare initiatives. Members can check out our past issues in the "For Members" page!
